Summerfest Ticket Giveaway
Hey WIDR listeners, summer is here and that means it’s time for Summerfest, the worlds largest music festival. The best part is…we have a pair of tickets! And since we here at WIDR think that you all are so awesome, we’ve decided to give them away. That’s right, one lucky WIDR listener is going to be headed to Milwaukee to be part of this cool event. So tune in that radio to 89.1 between the dates of June 13th and July 20th for you chance to call in and get registered to win. Why in the heck support Wisconsin in any way? Is this the same as a shrug when buying plastic or anything else made in China? Have you no damn power over your decisions?
I can understand your concerns, Gina. It’s not about supporting Wisconsin, but rather giving our listeners the chance to see bands that we play on WIDR in a new environment. Broadening one’s travel horizons is just as important as broadening musical ones. As I’m sure you know, WIDR loves its local musicians and festivals, which is why we do ticket giveaways for them too, and many of our local artists travel to play festivals just like this one.
Summerfest is a really fun event. This will be the first time in 3 years that I won’t be able to go because I moved to Michigan. It really sucks. But, if you get the chance to go, then go for it. Its definately worth the trip.
